The Parish Church of St. Peter & St. Paul

Shoreham, Kent,

4.jpg

St. Peter and St. Paul's Church in Shoreham, Kent, is set in the scenic Darent Valley, opposite The Samuel Palmer pub (formerly Ye Olde George Inn). It is accessed by a path lined with Irish yews. It is a Grade I Listed building notable for its medieval rood screen, an unusual late 18th-century brick tower, and items transferred from Westminster Abbey, including a 19th-century pulpit and an organ case. The church has roots in the Norman era, with the current structure showcasing medieval and later architectural styles.

The church is open daily from 9 a.m. until dusk for visitors and private prayer.

Regular services include Holy Communion and Morning Worship. The church also hosts community events such as coffee mornings and a playgroup.

A visitor book is available to sign, and guidebooks can be purchased inside. Guided tours can also be arranged.
